Established over two decades ago, Stella Maris Pudu Secondary School stands proudly in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, conveniently located next to the Church of St. Anthony and easily accessible by public transport and from Pudu Sentral.

Beyond its location, the school boasts a strong reputation for its students’ exceptional English language proficiency. It follows the National Curriculum (KSSM), with Science and Mathematics taught in English, and offers an enriched curriculum for both subjects to further enhance understanding and application.

The academic year for 2024 begins on 11th of March 2024.

How many terms are there in a year?

There are 3 terms in an academic year.

What are the school hours for Primary / Secondary?

Mon – Fri: 7.25am – 3.00pm

What is the class size or maximum no. of students per class?

30 students per class.

Are handphones allowed in class/school?

Students are allowed to bring handphones to school with certain stipulations.

Can my child sit for the Assessment Test online instead of flying him back here?

All intake assessment must be attended in person so that their conducts and physical responses of the candidate can be observed.

Can my child join half way or middle of 1st / 2nd term? Are there any specif requirements that I should be aware of?

Yes, exceptions can be made and subject to the child passing the admission test.

Admission to Form One
• The School admits students who have completed Standard 6 in a national syllabus school.
• Students who studied a primary international syllabus and have reached the minimum age requirement can also be admitted.
• Students seeking admission are subject to an Admission Test on English, Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics.
• The parents of those selected for admission will be notified by the school in the form of an offer letter.
• Registration of the student will only be successful after all fees due in the letter of offer are paid and the necessary documentation completed.

Admission to Form Two, Three and Four
• Subject to vacancies available.
• Candidates seeking admission are required to sit for an Admission Test on selected subjects.
• The parents of those selected for admission will be notified by the school in the form of an offer letter.
• Registration of the student will only be successful after all fees due in the letter of offer are paid and the necessary documentation completed.

Admission to Form Five
• The school does not normally admit students into Form 5.

Do you provide transport service?

No.

To what extent is the security tightness in this school?

The school maintains a high level of security with guards at the school entrance and CCTV cameras all round the school premises.

What are the break times for the students?

Break: 9.00am – 9.30am
Lunch: 12.00pm – 12.45pm
(No lunch time on Fridays)

Does the school have any scholarships?

Yes.

Is it possible to give a discount to parents who have more than 1 child on the security deposit required?

No discount on Security Deposit.

Are there any sibling discounts and how much is the sibling discount for the 2nd and 3^rd child?

What are the school fees for Primary and Secondary?

What is the procedure for withdrawal of the child and return of Security Deposit?

A student wishing to leave before completing either Year 6 or Year 11 must inform the school in writing at least 6 months in advance and with the student still in the school throughout this period. Only when this is fulfilled, the Security Deposit can be returned.
